Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our overnight stay team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, particularly in settings such as ambulatory surgery centers. This role requires a thorough understanding of anatomy, diagnostic evaluation, and the ability to provide exceptional care to patients recovering from surgery.
Duties
- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and overall condition post-surgery.
- Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding recovery processes.
- Document patient progress accurately in medical records, adhering to all regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana.
- Previous experience in a PACU, critical care, or similar environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to orthopedic surgery.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to respond promptly to patient needs.
