Tool and Die Repair Technician

Job Overview and Compensation

Pay Rate: $30.00 – $38.00 per hour depending on experience and shift.

Shifts: Primarily available on 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Job Type: Full-time with benefits (401k, health, vision, dental).

Primary Location: Belleville, Michigan.

Key Responsibilities

Die Upkeep: Manage the daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of progressive and stamping dies directly on the plant floor.

Diagnostics: Identify and resolve timing, alignment, and part-quality issues during production runs.

Toolroom Machining: Operate standard room equipment including lathes, mills, surface grinders, and drill presses to modify components.

Data Logging: Track all maintenance activity, tool biographies, and spare parts inventory utilizing the PLEX ERP system.

Core Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of dedicated die repair or toolroom experience in a high-volume metal stamping environment.

Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints, utilizing precision measuring instruments, and troubleshooting heavy automotive stamping dies.
