Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service to create a welcoming shopping environment
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions efficiently and handle cash, credit, or digital payments with precision
- Assist customers with product questions, demonstrate features or benefits through product demos, and upsell items to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure products are stocked neatly on shelves
- Manage stock levels by stocking shelves regularly and communicating inventory needs to management
- Follow proper phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers over the phone
- Support team members by supervising during busy periods, helping with product knowledge sharing, and ensuring store policies are followed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a customer-first attitude are essential
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math to ensure accurate transactions
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks related to stocking and merchandising
- Demonstrated phone etiquette and excellent customer service skills
- Supervising experience is beneficial for supporting team leadership roles within the store
