Product Manager

About the Role

We're a fast-growing consumer lending company looking for a hands-on Product Manager. You'll be paired with one or more departments and own the pipeline of work from idea to monitored release, acting as a sounding board, shaping opportunities into scoped initiatives, and staying accountable through a verified launch.

This role is deliberately hands-on. You'll write the specs, do the analysis, work directly in the data, and understand the systems well enough to catch a flawed design before it gets built.

What You'll Do

• Partner with your department, learn their goals and constraints, and pressure-test proposals before decisions are made
• Shape opportunities into initiatives with a defined problem, expected outcome, and measurable result
• Own the pipeline: intake, definition, sequencing, and specs clear enough for any engineer to build from
• Coordinate cross-department dependencies and sign-offs, including launch for regulated changes
• Define and track key metrics, then build the dashboards, checks, and alerting that keep a release healthy
• Keep leadership current on progress and risk, and own your department's contribution to quarterly planning
• Guide junior team members and contribute to team standards, templates, and tooling

Minimum Qualifications

• 3 to 7 years of product management experience
• Experience working closely with engineering teams, including in technical design
• Strong communication skills across both non-technical leaders and engineers
• A track record of executing in fast-paced, high-growth environments
• Ownership of work through completion without management follow-up
• Enough SQL, Python, or R to answer your own questions and validate others' analysis
• Ability to drive cross-functional action without direct authority

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in software development or engineering
• Experience in consumer lending, financial services, or another regulated industry
• End-to-end vendor or third-party integration experience

Technical Environment

Ruby and Python services on AWS, Redshift and PostgreSQL, Apache Airflow, Jira, and Confluence. Direct experience is welcome but not required.
