MMC Group is hiring for a Regional Sales/BD Manager for our client in the SBA Lending industry! This role will be primarily based out of the DFW office (can be remote or Hybrid), and travel across the midwest & Lower East region to help support the BDO's clients in these markets.
We are seeking a high-impact Regional Sales Manager to lead and develop a team of Business Development Officers focused on SBA 7(a) loan origination across the Midwest Region (IL, MN, WI, MI, IN, OH, KY; Some Easter U.S.). This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing pipeline performance, and ensuring successful loan execution from lead generation through closing.
This is a strategic leadership position requiring deep expertise in SBA lending, strong sales coaching capabilities, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with credit, underwriting, and operations teams to deliver speed, accuracy, and certainty of funding.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Development Officers to achieve loan production and profitability goals
- Establish performance expectations, monitor KPIs, and drive accountability across all sales activities
- Conduct ongoing coaching, performance reviews, and development planning
- Participate in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding top sales talent
Pipeline & Production Management
- Oversee team pipeline activity to ensure consistent progression from prospect to funded loan
- Monitor loan throughput, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements
- Support team in structuring loan opportunities and advancing deals through underwriting and closing
- Ensure high standards of loan quality, compliance, and documentation
Business Development & Market Expansion
- Drive SBA 7(a) loan origination through networking, referrals, and targeted outreach strategies
- Expand and strengthen referral networks, including brokers, business owners, and industry partners
- Participate in trade shows, associations, and marketing initiatives to generate new business opportunities
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with credit, underwriting, and closing teams to ensure efficient deal execution
- Act as a liaison between sales and internal departments to resolve challenges and improve processes
- Ensure sales team has access to accurate product, policy, and operational updates
Strategic Leadership
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and revenue growth
- Analyze trends, pipeline data, and performance metrics to guide decision-making
- Contribute as a key member of leadership, supporting long-term business growth initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience managing sales teams, within SBA 7(a) lending; 7-10yrs lending experience
- Proven track record of driving loan production and revenue growth
- Strong knowledge of SBA Standard Operating Procedures and lending guidelines
- Solid understanding of credit underwriting and financial analysis for small business lending
- Experience developing business through networking, calling, trade events, and marketing campaigns
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and urgency

Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive base salary: $160,000–$175,000 (based on experience)
