What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apprentice Lineworker position at MLEC?
We're seeking a motivated Apprentice Lineworker to join our team and help deliver safe, reliable electric service to our community.
Based in our Lewis County office, responsibilities include assisting and learning from experienced lineworkers in construction, replacement, and maintenance of electric distribution lines. Climbing poles, working at heights and performing physical demanding tasks in various weather conditions will be required.
Completion of an approved lineworker apprenticeship program paid for by the cooperative will be mandatory. A high school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience with basic electricity, heights, and working outdoors desired. The successful candidate must be able to obtain a Class A CDL within six months of hire and must be willing to reside in the Lewis County service area or the MLEC service area.
