The Maintenance Planner supports plant reliability and maintenance performance by planning, coordinating, and optimizing maintenance activities that reduce downtime and improve equipment availability.
- Plan and coordinate maintenance work orders, projects, and equipment repairs.
- Ensure preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance activities are planned and ready for execution.
- Manage work orders within the EAM/CMMS system, including review, prioritization, and status updates.
- Monitor maintenance and business unit performance metrics and prepare reports as needed.
- Support plant safety, environmental, and reliability initiatives.
- Coordinate materials, spare parts, and vendor resources to ensure maintenance readiness.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Purchasing to improve equipment reliability and inventory management.
- Lead daily maintenance planning meetings to align maintenance schedules with production needs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of maintenance planning experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, equipment drawings, and maintenance-related information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work in industrial environments, including exposure to varying temperatures and elevated work areas.
- Post-secondary education or technical degree.
- Experience working with maintenance management systems (EAM/CMMS).
- Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
- Experience with inventory management, spare parts planning, and bill of materials development.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and support training of others.
