What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Manager (QA/QC) position at MKH Search?
Quality Manager – Civil Infrastructure | Nashville, TN
We are working with a leading national contractor on a key Quality hire within their growing Southeast division.
The Opportunity
A senior Quality Manager is needed to take ownership of the Quality function on a $1B civil infrastructure programme in Nashville. Beyond the project itself, this role carries a clear and supported pathway toward Regional Quality Programme Manager as the division continues to scale — making it as much a career-defining move as it is a project hire.
The Role
- Lead all QC activities across civil scopes on a substantial, multi-year infrastructure programme
- Manage and develop an internal QC team, growing headcount as the programme scales
- Coordinate across owner representatives, third-party inspectors, and wider project stakeholders
- Maintain quality documentation, inspection programmes, and NCR processes
- Build a proactive, field-first quality culture — not a tick-box compliance function
- Communicate effectively at all levels, from field operations through to senior leadership
What We're Looking For
- 10–15 years in Quality Management — specifically within Heavy Civil or major civil infrastructure construction. Candidates without this background will not be considered
- Contractor-side experience strongly preferred; CEI, consulting, or testing backgrounds considered where genuine programme-side motivation exists
- Commercially minded and stakeholder-savvy, with strong communication skills in both directions
- Progressive Design-Build exposure advantageous but not essential
- Someone invested in a long-term regional story, not just the next project
Package
- Competitive base salary annual bonus
- Industry-leading ESOP and 401k programme
- Company truck and gas card
- Flexible time off policy
- Relocation assistance available
- Clear progression pathway through to Regional Quality Programme Manager
Civil infrastructure QC experience is essential. If the profile fits and the long-term trajectory appeals, we'd welcome a conversation.
