Accounts Payable Manager | Mid-Size General Contractor

Own & modernize the AP function for a long-established construction/infrastructure business entering an exciting new phase of growth and operational transformation.

We’re partnering with a long-established and growing construction/infrastructure company in North Georgia to appoint an Accounts Payable Manager during an exciting phase of expansion and operational transformation.

This is not a “keep the lights on” AP role. The company is looking for someone who wants to come in, take ownership, build structure, improve processes, and genuinely make an impact as the business continues to grow through acquisition activity.

Backed by a publicly traded parent company, the business combines the stability of a 70-year-old organization with the momentum and investment of a company actively scaling across multiple states.

The opportunity:

• Lead and modernize the AP function

• Oversee the full AP cycle across vendors and subcontractors

• Improve workflows, controls, and reporting processes

• Partner closely with finance, procurement, and project teams

• Manage lien waivers and support month-end close activities

• Supervise and develop existing AP support staff, with scope to grow the team over time

Ideal background:

• 8 years within Accounts Payable

• Prior leadership or supervisory experience

• Strong process improvement mindset

• Construction, infrastructure, or multi-entity experience preferred

• Comfortable in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment

Location: Sugar Hill, GA (primarily in-office)
