We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to oversee medical, healthcare, and light industrial construction projects throughout Ocala. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, extensive commercial construction experience, and the ability to effectively manage clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage construction projects from preconstruction through project completion.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and staffing requirements.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work to ensure complete understanding of project requirements.
- Manage project budgets, cost controls, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Negotiate and administer subcontract agreements and purchase orders.
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve issues affecting cost, schedule, quality, or safety.
- Conduct regular project meetings with clients, field personnel, and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, healthcare regulations, OSHA requirements, and company safety policies.
- Review and process change orders, requests for information (RFIs), submittals, and project documentation.
- Collaborate closely with Superintendents to maintain quality standards and construction schedules.
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional customer service throughout project delivery.
- Manage project closeout activities including punch lists, warranty documentation, as-built drawings, and final turnover.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in commercial construction.
- Experience managing medical, healthcare, clinic, ambulatory care, laboratory, manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or light industrial construction projects preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, estimating, budgeting, and contract administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software.
- Knowledge of Florida building codes and permitting processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout Central Florida.
Salary : $100,000 - $135,000
