Project Accountant | Mid-Size Contractor | Miami (Doral), FL
Our client is a family run general contractor in Florida that has been building for almost 40 years. They have a strong culture and exceptionally high tenure, with many people having been there since the very beginning. It is a tight knit, collaborative team that is ambitious with an open door policy.
They are hiring a Project Accountant to join their accounting team. The right person will take real ownership of their work and be a committed team player.
You will manage the accounting across a portfolio of active projects at the same time, working closely with the Controller and the wider accounting team. This is a process driven role for someone who takes pride in accuracy, detail and getting the numbers right.
Responsibilities
- Manage the accounting for multiple active projects at once
- Take ownership of your projects from start to finish
- Work closely with the Controller and accounting team
- Keep processes running accurately and on time
About you
You are detail oriented, hard working and very good with numbers. You are process driven, reliable and comfortable owning your work.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
- Experience in project accounting within construction
- Strong attention to detail and a process driven mindset
- Willing to take ownership and get stuck in
- QuickBooks and Procore experience is a plus
