What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Estimator position at MKH Search?
We are partnered with a well-established commercial general contractor in the Atlanta area that is looking to add a Junior Estimator to its growing preconstruction team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in estimating, working alongside experienced professionals on a diverse range of commercial construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
- Review drawings, specifications and bid documents.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Support the preparation of competitive bid proposals.
- Maintain and update cost databases.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits where required.
- Collaborate with the preconstruction, operations and project management teams throughout the estimating process.
Requirements:
- 1–3 years' experience in commercial construction estimating, project engineering or a related construction role.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and materials.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Procore or BuildingConnected is advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Eagerness to learn and develop within a collaborative team environment.

Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
