Senior Manager Technical Services

Actively seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Senior Manager to lead our clients Technical Maintenance Team. This role will be responsible for the sustained and continuous improvement of the maintenance, engineering, and technology aspects of manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a technical maintenance team through its daily and strategic maintenance activities to meet and exceed the departments safety, quality, efficiency, production volume and cost objectives
• Lead and develop a team of hourly technicians charged with maintenance, optimization, and upgrade of existing manufacturing equipment to achieve plants manufacturing goals while fostering a team environment
• Support operation and maintenance of manufacturing systems and automation equipment to meet goals of the plant and business
• Overall PM ownership ensuring accuracy, optimization, and completion
• Participates in the purchase and install, start-up and validation of new equipment and/or processes as required to meet product specifications, requirements, and manufacturing expectations
• Responsible for planning scheduled and performing un-scheduled maintenance for existing and new manufacturing equipment and processes in a manufacturing department
• Responsible for the production maintenance budget; designs, recommends, and implements cost reduction projects within the scope of annual plant targeted goals
• Lead, manage, and develop all production maintenance team members in the Hunt Valley Plant to form a sustainable succession plan while reducing equipment maintenance and developing skill proficiencies

Requirements:

• 10 years of experience in FMCG company (food, beauty, etc.), Ideally experience in processing and packaging equipment
• Experience with factory automation equipment design, operation, and maintenance, preferably in a GMP regulated manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated Root cause analysis experience required
• Highly preferred: 5 years leadership experience over maintenance or engineering group supporting a manufacturing organization is preferred
• Preferred: Broad knowledge of high-performance manufacturing, FDA regulatory requirements, validation concepts and techniques, standard cost accounting preferred
• Zero based budgeting experience, preferred.
• Preferred: Experience with lean manufacturing, six sigma, and category management is desirable along with MRP and production order transaction maintenance experience using SAP
