Job Summary

• Join our team as an Accounting specialist focusing on Behavioral Health insurance billing.
• This contract position is based onsite in Middletown, NY.
• The role involves managing financial operations, ensuring billing accuracy, and utilizing accounting software for data management and analysis.
  
  

Requirements

• Manage accounts receivable, including cash/denial postings and follow-up on insurance claims.
• Create and maintain spreadsheets and databases to streamline billing processes.
• Support financial statement preparation and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and post journal entries related to billing operations.
• Assist with audits, financial analysis, and year-end projections.
• Communicate effectively with staff and leadership.
• Ensure compliance with billing regulations.
  
  

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting or related field with at least 1 year of experience, or a Bachelor's degree.
• Experience in non-profit accounting preferred.
• Strong understanding of Behavioral Health insurance billing.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with financial database software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
