TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE, McGovern Institute for Brain Research-Gabrieli Lab, to join the Gabrieli Lab. Will be responsible for helping with the design and implementation of behavioral and neuroimaging experiments with children and adult participants, participant recruitment and scheduling, operation of MRI scanner, implementation and maintenance of software, and technical support for lab personnel.
This position will provide invaluable experience for anyone interested in pursuing graduate study in the fields of medicine, experimental psychology, or cognitive neuroscience.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: a bachelor's degree in a scientific or social science/education field, two years of related experience, ability to work both independently and in a team setting, and excellent communication and organizational skills. Seek someone who is interested in science and learning. PREFERRED: experience working with children, especially children with learning differences such as dyslexia, autism, and ADHD; computational skills, including Python, R, MATLAB, and/or other programming languages; knowledge of psychological experiment software, particularly PsychoPy and/or Psychtoolbox; knowledge of fMRI analysis software.
