Job Description
Responsible for the accountability of all cash collections handled/processed at the Cashier’s Station as well as for the maintenance of necessary related files; Receives all cash paid/contributed to the University at the Cashier’s Station; Prepares and issues cash receipts; prepares bank deposits; serves as petty cash custodian; make change and cash checks; assist in issuance of employee and vendor checks and other items as deemed necessary; Prepare required cash reports; maintain inventory tickets used for admission during athletic events and other areas on campus where admissions is required; maintain file of cash receipt data and other related information.
Required Qualifications
Able to handle multiple tasks, proficient in working with office systems such as Microsoft Office. Ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks. Must have knowledge and understanding of accounting and bookkeeping methods and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Accounting or other business-related field is preferred.
