AI Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled AI Engineer to design and develop backend APIs, interactive visualizations, and AI-driven services that leverage LLMs and related technologies. This role involves building prototypes, integrating AI models with data systems, and ensuring seamless user experiences across platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, balance execution speed with code quality, and contribute to a culture of technical excellence through mentorship, feedback, and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement backend APIs connecting to LLMs and other services using Python and FastAPI
• Develop interactive visualizations and user interfaces for agentic AI services
• Build prototypes and proofs-of-concept to test new features and AI interactions
• Collaborate across teams to integrate AI models, APIs, and data storage solutions
• Ensure accessibility, performance, and cross-browser compatibility in user-facing applications
• Participate in code reviews, testing, retrospectives, and knowledge sharing
• Mentor and learn from peers to foster a high-performing engineering culture
  
  

Qualifications

• 7 years of software engineering experience with a track record of delivering complex applications
• Strong expertise in Python 3, FastAPI, and frontend development (Vue.js or React.js with willingness to learn Vue)
• Proven experience building non-trivial UIs, such as interactive network or graph visualizations
• Familiarity with agentic AI concepts, machine learning, and NLP
• Proficiency with SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and testing frameworks (Pytest, Vue Testing Library, or similar)
• Bonus skills: GitLab Pipelines, Bash scripting, Dockerfiles, Linux, AWS Bedrock, Figma AI, and Nest.js
