A Top National Beauty Retailer operating a high-volume distribution center that supports both retail stores and e-commerce operations nationwide. This is a fast-paced, high-growth environment with 850–900 employees, scaling up to ~1,400 during peak season.
🧠 Responsibilities
- Partner with Senior Operations Managers to drive staffing, talent development, engagement, and HR initiatives.
- Oversee full-cycle recruiting for non-exempt roles; partner with Corporate TA for exempt hiring.
- Lead onboarding, training, and leadership development programs.
- Support succession planning, staffing plans, and talent reviews.
- Manage staffing agency relationships and temporary workforce efficiency.
- Analyze HR data to identify trends, mitigate risks, and support business goals.
- Advise leaders on employee relations, policy compliance, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Oversee leave management, open enrollment support, and benefits inquiries.
- Conduct exit interviews and recommend strategies to reduce turnover.
- Promote company culture, communication, and engagement across all four shifts.
- Support special projects and People Success initiatives.
- Maintain visibility across the entire distribution center, including early/late days and occasional weekends.
🧬 Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, or equivalent HR experience.
- HR experience in distribution, manufacturing, retail, or high-volume operational environments.
- Strong understanding of HR operations, staffing, employee relations, and compliance.
- Knowledge of California employment law strongly preferred (or ability to learn quickly).
- High level of organization, urgency, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn HR systems (SuccessFactors/ServiceNow, UKG, iCIMS).
- Ability to adjust schedule based on business needs, including rotational Fridays and occasional weekends.
- Experience supporting large workforces (850–1,400 employees) preferred.
- PHR/SPHR preferred.

- Salary: $100,000–$105,000 per year
