The Total Rewards Leader is responsible for the administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of compensation and benefits programs. This role supports the execution of total rewards strategies, ensures market competitiveness, and partners with HR and business leaders to deliver effective and compliant programs.
Total Rewards Strategy
- Develop and lead a comprehensive total rewards strategy aligned with company goals and growth plans
- Ensure programs support talent attraction, retention, engagement, and performance
- Advise executive leadership on market trends, pay positioning, and workforce economics
Compensation
- Design and manage base salary structures, incentive plans, and equity programs (if applicable)
- Lead annual compensation processes including merit planning, bonus cycles, and market adjustments
- Ensure internal equity and external competitiveness through benchmarking and market analysis
- Oversee job architecture, leveling frameworks, and career progression models
Benefits & Wellbeing
- Oversee design and administration of health, welfare, retirement, and wellness programs
- Evaluate and optimize vendor relationships and benefits offerings for cost and employee value
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, etc.)
Incentive & Recognition Programs
- Design short- and long-term incentive plans aligned with company performance goals
- Develop recognition programs that reinforce company culture and values
Analytics & Governance
- Establish metrics and dashboards to measure effectiveness of total rewards programs (e.g., cost, participation, ROI, turnover impact)
- Ensure governance, compliance, and audit readiness across all programs
- Lead pay equity analysis and support DEI initiatives
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and develop the total rewards team (compensation, benefits, payroll where applicable)
- Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and compensation expense planning
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on offers, pay strategy, and hiring competitiveness
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and the executive team
Qualifications:
Education & Licensure
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field
- 5–8 years of experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards
- Strong analytical and Excel skills
- Experience with HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred)
- Working knowledge of compensation structures and benefits regulations
Skills & Competencies
- Strong strategic thinking and execution capabilities
- Expertise in quality improvement methodologies and regulatory compliance
- Financial acumen with ability to link clinical performance to financial outcomes
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Data-driven decision-making and performance management
- Experience with EMR-preferably Homecare Homebase, understanding analytics and key insights and interpretation of data.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel
- Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
- Knowledge of corporate business management.
