VP, Financial Control – Global Investment Bank

A top-tier global investment bank (over $2 trillion in assets) is looking to hire a VP, Financial Control to join its highly visible accounting team in New York City.

Compensation & Location

📍 New York City (Hybrid – 2–3 days/week in office)

💰 Up to $175K Base Salary Up to $200K Total Compensation

What You'll Be Doing

• Own the accounting and controllership for complex derivative entities
• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial reporting under U.S. GAAP (Japanese GAAP exposure is a plus)
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, consolidations, and intercompany reporting
• Prepare financial statements, regulatory reports, and management reporting packages
• Partner on automation, workflow improvements, and system enhancement projects
• Support internal and external audits while collaborating with global stakeholders across Finance and Operations

Qualifications

• 6 years of Big 4 Audit Experience with Financial Services Clients
• Derivative accounting experience is required
• CPA or public accounting background is highly preferred
