What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Mission Staffing?
Our client, a well-known financial services firm in Midtown, NY, is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team! Responsibilities of this position include covering all finance and accounting functions (AR/AP, GAAP Accounting, journal entries), assisting with the year end audit process, and running expense and variance analysis. The ideal candidate will come with at least five years of accounting experience, preferably from a financial services firm, and strong working knowledge of SAP GL.
Responsibilities Include:
- Execution and management of all accounting functions including Accounts Payable/Receivable, journal entry booking, accruals, and General Ledger Reconciliation
- Overseeing month and quarter-end close
- Providing ongoing variance and expense analysis
Requirements:
- Five-plus years' experience in accounting & finance, preferably from a financial services firm
- Strong working knowledge of SAP GL
- CPA is a plus
Salary : $45 - $55
