Assistant Controller – Management Company Accounting
A rapidly growing alternative investment manager (over $5 billion AUM) looking to hire a Senior Accountant to own the firm's management company accounting function and help build the finance infrastructure for its next stage of growth.

Compensation & Location
📍 New York City (5 days/week)
💰 Up to $200K Base Salary Up to $300K Total Compensation
What You'll Be Doing
- Own the monthly close, reconciliations, and financial reporting for the management company
- Lead the firm's accounting system evaluation and implementation project
- Manage tax compliance, K-1 coordination, payroll, compensation accounting, and partner distributions
- Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting process while delivering financial analysis to executive leadership
- Lead the annual audit and partner closely with external advisors
- Collaborate across Fund Accounting, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and HR on strategic initiatives and process improvements
Qualifications
- 5 years of accounting experience with a combination of public accounting and management company experience
- Must have in-house management company accounting experience
- CPA preferred
- Someone who enjoys building processes, improving systems, and taking ownership of a function
Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
