Position Overview:
A global sports media and entertainment company backed by top venture capital firms is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team in New York, NY. This is a high-impact role where you'll own core accounting processes while helping build and refine the systems that support a high-growth business. You will work across the general ledger, month-end close, and revenue recognition, with meaningful opportunity to drive process improvement as the company scales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead operational accounting including month and year-end close
- Book journal entries, analyze GL accounts, and create balance sheet account reconciliations
- Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
- Build cash flow forecasting models
- Work within NetSuite to maintain accurate financial records
- Identify and lead process and system improvement initiatives
- Assist with the annual audit
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Master's or CPA preferred
- 4 years of professional accounting experience, background in media and entertainment industry is a plus
- Advanced Excel and NetSuite proficiency
- Self-starter, motivated
- Possess excellent organizational, communication and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
