Coda Search is partnering with a leading global asset management firm with offices located in Stamford, CT. The team is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee all domestic and international payroll operations. This individual will be responsible for processing payroll across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions in addition to serving as the point of contact for all employees, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll operations across multiple domestic and international legal entities
- Oversee bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payroll processing while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all federal, state, local, and international regulations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for global payroll vendors and external service providers
- Ensure compliance with all payroll-related laws, tax regulations, year-end reporting requirements, and internal controls
- Oversee payroll audits and support both internal and external audit requests
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing payroll processes, controls, and automation opportunities
- Maintain payroll policies, procedures, and documentation while ensuring best practices are consistently followed
- Manage payroll system maintenance, testing, upgrades, and implementations in partnership with HRIS teams
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism, discretion, and a strong customer-service mindset
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5 years of progressive payroll experience, including managing complex multi-state payroll operations
- Experience overseeing international payroll across multiple countries and legal entities is strongly preferred
- Prior experience within asset management, financial services, banking, hedge funds, private equity, or other professional services environments is highly preferred
Salary : $150,000 - $225,000
