Our client, a leading financial services firm, is seeking an Operations Specialist – Trade Management to support specialized operational securities processing activities. This individual will be responsible for the entry, authentication, verification, processing, and reconciliation of client trade instructions, including STP, automated trades requiring repair, and fully manual trades. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent client communication skills. The Specialist will also identify trade instruction issues, resolve transaction-related problems, and help identify opportunities to improve straight-through processing and the overall client experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Enter client trades, including STP, automated trades requiring repair, and fully manual/re-keyed instructions
- Authenticate, confirm, and distribute faxed trade instructions received by the Bank
- Perform edit checks on electronic trades and identify missing, incomplete, inconsistent, or improperly formatted information
- Research and resolve trade instructions requiring repair
- Process complex and client-specific trade instructions
- Verify trade information under dual-control procedures prior to release to other areas of the firm or the market
- Identify and escalate known or potential trade processing issues to management
- Resolve transaction-related problems using established procedures, client documentation, and available systems
- Analyze instruction trends and provide feedback related to market requirements and standards
- Communicate trade instruction issues and expected resolutions clearly and professionally to clients
- Identify opportunities to increase straight-through processing (STP) and improve operational processes
Requirements:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience
