The Manager, Audience Development & Membership is a key member of the marketing and partnerships team, responsible for driving visitor traffic, increasing event participation, and strengthening member engagement. This role focuses on expanding audience reach, attracting new visitors and members, and deepening relationships across the organization’s community.
This position blends marketing, outreach, and community cultivation with data-driven strategy to attract and retain audiences—particularly within media, entertainment, sports, gaming, and tech. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and passionate about connecting people with cultural experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive visitation and participation across all public programs, events, and exhibitions.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow audience engagement across on-site, digital, and social channels.
- Partner with internal teams to design and execute member promotions, events, and campaigns.
- Support audience development for special events, receptions, previews, and fundraisers.
- Lead targeted outreach to recruit and retain new members, with a focus on key industry audiences.
- Collaborate on creating brochures, newsletters, invitations, and other membership materials.
- Represent the organization as a brand ambassador at public and private events.
- Monitor results and prepare reports on engagement trends, campaign performance, and growth opportunities.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in audience development, marketing, or member relations, preferably in a nonprofit or cultural institution.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
- Knowledge of the media, entertainment, sports, or gaming industries.
- Excellent communication and time management skills; comfortable working in a fast-paced, in-person environment.
- Highly organized with strong multitasking and project management abilities.
- Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Creative problem solver with a resourceful, collaborative mindset.
