Our client is seeking an experienced IP Patent Docketing Specialist to support attorneys and legal staff throughout the patent prosecution lifecycle. This fully remote opportunity will focus on managing critical U.S. and foreign patent deadlines, maintaining docket accuracy, processing incoming correspondence, and ensuring the integrity of patent prosecution records. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of patent docketing experience and possess a strong understanding of patent prosecution procedures and deadlines.
Responsibilities Include:
- Docketing incoming U.S. and foreign patent correspondence.
- Running and reviewing daily patent docket reports.
- Communicating critical deadlines to attorneys and paralegals.
- Opening new patent matters and maintaining docket records.
- Ensuring overall accuracy and integrity of patent docket data.
- Tracking and managing patent prosecution deadlines.
- Responding to attorney and staff docket-related inquiries.
- Supporting the patent prosecution process through accurate recordkeeping and deadline management.
Requirements:
- 5 years of patent docketing experience.
- Experience supporting both U.S. and foreign patent prosecution matters.
- Strong understanding of patent prosecution procedures and deadlines.
- Experience with patent docketing software.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PATTSY experience.
- Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate.
- Prior experience in a fully remote environment.
- Experience supporting sophisticated intellectual property practices.
Salary : $60,000 - $90,000
