Our client is seeking a Futures Operations Analyst to join their New York-based operations team. This individual will play a key role in supporting the post-trade lifecycle for listed futures and options, ensuring the timely processing, reconciliation, and settlement of transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting futures or derivatives operations within an investment bank, asset manager, hedge fund, broker-dealer, clearing firm, or exchange. Responsibilities include:
- Support the daily post-trade processing lifecycle for listed futures and options transactions.
- Ensure timely trade allocations, affirmations, and settlements across multiple clearing brokers and counterparties.
- Perform daily trade, position, cash, and margin reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and operational integrity.
- Investigate and resolve trade breaks, settlement discrepancies, and reconciliation exceptions.
- Monitor contract expirations, rolls, and other lifecycle events to ensure accurate processing.
- Coordinate with Trading, Risk, Finance, counterparties, and clearing brokers to resolve operational issues and support daily business activities.
- Maintain trade records, account data, and reference data to ensure accuracy across operational systems.
- Process daily margin and collateral movements while monitoring funding requirements.
- Execute operational controls and support audit, regulatory, and compliance initiatives.
- Participate in automation projects, user acceptance testing (UAT), system enhancements, and new product launches.
- Maintain operational procedures, documentation, and business continuity plans.
Requirements:
- 2 years of operations experience supporting listed futures, derivatives, or other capital markets products.
- Strong understanding of futures clearing, settlements, reconciliations, margin, and post-trade operations.
- Experience working with trading, clearing, reconciliation, or collateral management platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Trading, Risk, Finance, and Operations teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field preferred.
