At Mission Point Resort—Mackinac Island’s only full-service, casually elegant resort—our Public Areas Team helps ensure guests enjoy a spotless, welcoming environment from the moment they walk through our doors. We are seeking dependable and hardworking Public Areas Attendants to maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the resort’s lobbies, hallways, restrooms, lounges, and other common spaces.
About the Role
Public Areas Attendants are responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of the resort’s shared spaces. Duties include vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning restrooms, emptying trash, polishing fixtures, and monitoring high-traffic areas to ensure they remain tidy throughout the day. This role may also support minor housekeeping tasks or special cleaning projects as needed.

Qualifications:What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Work Ethic: Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to Detail: Commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards and noticing what needs attention
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs., stand or walk for long periods, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks
- Professional Traits: Friendly, respectful, and able to interact positively with guests and colleagues
- Communication: Ability to follow instructions clearly and report issues promptly
- Location Requirement: Must be able to live and work on Mackinac Island during the season
