Test Systems Engineer (Senior‑Level)
Mission Intelligence Group is seeking a Senior‑Level Test Systems Engineer to lead and support enterprise test and evaluation activities across complex GEOINT environments. This role supports mission‑critical capabilities across the National System of Geospatial‑Intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial‑Intelligence (ASG), and Federal Agencies to ensure timely, accurate GEOINT delivery.
Your Role
As a Senior‑Level Test Systems Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and hands‑on expertise across application, system, and integration testing efforts. You will guide testing teams, ensure quality practices are embedded within DevOps pipelines, and validate system performance and compliance across cloud, on‑premise, and hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide Mid‑ and Junior‑level engineers performing application, system, and integration testing across NSG, ASG, and Federal Agency environments
- Perform testing of applications and APIs within DevOps pipelines using government and industry best practices
- Conduct independent integration testing of system software and hardware to verify compliance with specified requirements
- Plan, develop, and execute manual test cases and automated test scripts using scripting and programming languages
- Support technical investigations, defect analysis, and resolution activities identified during testing
- Utilize test management and defect‑tracking tools to support reporting, metrics, and test execution
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM field, or equivalent experience:
- 4 additional years of experience with no degree, or
- 2 additional years with a non‑STEM degree
- 12 years of experience supporting systems integration and testing in government or industry, including:
- Large, complex System‑of‑Systems, or
- Service‑Oriented Architecture (SOA) environments across cloud, on‑premise, or hybrid infrastructures
- Experience with test management and defect‑tracking tools
- Experience working within traditional, Agile, and DevOps development environments and associated testing strategies
- Prior NGA and/or NSG/ASG program or project experience
- Prior IC or DoD program or project experience
- Active TS/SCI clearance, with ability to obtain SCI and successfully pass a polygraph
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM field
- Experience with tools and technologies such as:
- JMeter, Jenkins, Docker, Postman, Swagger, Nexus, Apigee
- GitHub / GitLab
- Java, Bash, Curl, XML, JSON, SQL, Python, JavaScript
- AWS and C2S
- Working knowledge of Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, tools, and languages
- Working knowledge of software development frameworks
