Test Systems Engineer (Mid-Level)

SHINE Systems is looking for a Mid-Level Test Systems Engineer to join our team supporting the National System of Geospatial-intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-intelligence (ASG), and Federal Agencies. In this role, you will perform Application, System, and Integration Testing across the NSG/ASG enterprise to ensure timely and accurate GEOINT delivery.

Note: This position is located in the Washington Metro Area only.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform test and evaluation across the NSG, ASG, and Federal Agencies to ensure timely and accurate GEOINT.
• Perform testing of applications and application programming interfaces (APIs) in DevOps pipelines utilizing quality assurance measures established by the Government and industry best practices.
• Perform independent integration testing on system software or hardware to determine compliance with specified requirements.
• Plan and execute manual tests and automated test scripts using scripting and programming languages.
• Support technical investigations for defects discovered during test activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM degree program; or 4 years of equivalent experience with no degree, or 2 years with a non-STEM degree.
• 6 years of systems integration experience working in government or industry integrating large, complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture environments in cloud, on-premise, or hybrid infrastructures.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
• Experience with traditional, Agile, and DevOps development practices and associated testing strategies.
• Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain SCI access and pass a polygraph.

Desired Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM degree program.
• Experience with JMeter, Jenkins, Docker, Postman, Swagger, Nexus, Apigee, or GitHub/GitLab (or equivalent software packages), Java, Bash, Curl, XML, JSON, SQL, Python, JavaScript, and AWS/C2S.
• Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, tools, and languages.
• Working knowledge of Software Development Frameworks.
• Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program or project work experience.
• Previous IC or DoD program or project work experience.

Determination: The final salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s experience, education, and geographic location and contract budget.

Salary : $140,000
