A leading provider of proppant to the oil & gas industry is seeking a Mine Supervisor to join its team in Wisconsin. This organization operates a large-scale network of low-cost, logistically advantaged mining and terminal assets serving major U.S. shale basins, delivering reliable, high-quality materials across North America.
The Mine Supervisor will play a key role in executing mine plans and driving production performance while maintaining strict adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
How You'll Contribute
- Execute short-range mine planning aligned with long-term corporate plans
- Develop quarry faces in compliance with MSHA standards
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of hourly personnel
- Oversee mining operations including:
- Loading, hauling, crushing, and stockpiling
- Ore transport, waste management, stripping, and reclamation
- Road maintenance and tailings disposal
- Promote and enforce strong safety culture and housekeeping standards
- Conduct workplace inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed
- Perform surveys and track mine progress using modeling software
- Identify operational challenges and communicate solutions to management
- Lead and coordinate mine-related capital projects
- Manage external contractors (haulage, blasting, stripping, reclamation)
- Partner with EHS to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including:
- Water discharge permits (WPDES)
- Air permits
- Stormwater and pollution prevention plans (SWPPP, SPCC)
- Support environmental reporting, reclamation planning, and training compliance
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Engineering, or related field preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in short-range mine planning or heavy earthmoving operations
- Proficiency with CAD or mine modeling software (Vulcan preferred)
- Surveying experience
- Experience with permitting and regulatory agencies preferred
- Knowledge of reclamation and stormwater management is a plus
- Ability to wear required PPE, including respirator
- Valid driver’s license required
