What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at Mission Bell Manufacturing?
The Project Manager will be responsible for overall project management for simple to highly complex projects. Coordinate with Finance Department to ensure company financial reports and ERP remain current. Maintain excellent communication with general contractors throughout the life of the project.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitors and maintains project timelines, milestone dates and budget adherence
- Price change orders and provide necessary backup
- Able to negotiate change order pricing and provide workable design solutions as required.
- Able to suggest cost savings or changes in project scope for the benefit of both the customer and Mission Bell
- Competent in reading and understanding architectural drawings
- Review submittals for approval per plans, specifications and Mission Bell proposal
- Break out job into Work Orders, assisted by APM, with accurate scheduling
- Verify accurate material takeoffs and timely ordering of materials
- Manage job costs based on budget
- Complete monthly Cost-to-Complete report
- Ensure subcontractors, suppliers and employees are following specifications, drawings and construction schedules
- Attend regular company meetings to provide status updates and to align with company-wide goals
- Implement solutions to any encountered issues during construction
- Able to identify and mitigate cost and schedule risks
- Yearly billings of five million dollars
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty, above, satisfactorily. In addition, an individual must possess the following:
- In-office requirement of 4 days per week
- 3-4 years of hands-on field and/or shop experience in millwork or other construction trade required
- Ability to read and comprehend architectural drawings and technical specifications required
- Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills; must demonstrate ability to manage several activities at once, organize/prioritize work to meet internal and external deadlines
- Self-motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision
- Typing skills and computer knowledge of Microsoft Office/Windows: Excel and Outlook, and the ability to learn other programs
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have the ability to get along well with others and be a team player
- Understanding of WI or AWI specs
THESE QUALITIES WOULD BE A PLUS
- Trade education in architecture/construction management
- Working knowledge of Innergy software
- Millwork Project Management or Project Engineering experience
- Familiarity with commercial and Lean Construction principles

Pay: $84,439.49 - $101,690.57 per year
