What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outpatient Clinician/Case Manager position at MISIDE?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Case Manager/Outpatient Clinician is responsible for the providing professional mental health services to an assigned caseload. These services shall include assessment, service planning, individual, group or family based interventions. The Clinician/Case Manager provides these services within the scope of their professional discipline.
Qualifications:MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Guidance or other mental health discipline from an accredited school.
- CAFAS Certified within 6 months of hire date.
- Appropriate professional registration/certification by State/national authority required (L.M.S.W., L.L.P., R.N., etc.)
- Has one year experience and training in examination, evaluation and treatment of individuals with emotional disorders
- Bi-lingual (writing and speaking) Spanish and English preferred
- Knowledge of child development and childhood psychiatric disorders
- Ability to function effectively as part of a professional team delivering services to children and families
- Knowledge of family systems and ability to engage families to work collaboratively in the development of treatment plans
- Ability to function independently in the community
- Working knowledge of community resources
- Willingness to do outreach and provide services in the location that best meets the needs of the children
- Ability to work effectively under stressful conditions
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere and comply with the Michigan Mental Health Code, HIPAA and SWCS Code of Ethics and policies and procedures
- Ability to use a computer and working with Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
