What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager of Adult Learning position at MISIDE?
The Manager of Adult Learning Lab is responsible for managing and coordinating the Adult Learning Lab and literacy services. This includes planning and implementing start-up and ongoing strategies, reviewing and writing grants, updating budgets and reporting to funders for the Labs. The manager will also be responsible for coordinating and managing day- to -day operations.
The Manager is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to develop skills to fulfill their potential for obtaining and maintaining family-sustaining employment.
Responsible for coordinating and implementing classroom and individualized instructional programs that will result in participant success in accordance to the terms of the State of Michigan Office of Adult Education.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Adult Education or related field
- Three years of experience in adult instruction
- Additional experience coordinating multi-faceted, non-traditional,
adult focused programs - Supervisory experience directing the work of others to the
achievement of goals - Valid Michigan teaching certificate in secondary education
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable
transportation for day-to-day job performance
Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
