Misericordia is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP/Caregiver) for our growing residential areas. This role presents the opportunity to help support our residents in reaching their highest potential. As a DSP, you will be responsible for daily care tasks including personal, activities, meals, outings and more. The DSP will provide supervision and attention throughout the day to ensure the safety of the residents. The DSP role is a great opportunity for a compassionate, motivated individual who is looking to make a lasting impact on the lives of our residents. We are hiring for the three following full-time shifts: 7am-3pm (AM), 3pm-11pm (PM) and 11pm-7am (ON).
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with their daily living and independence skills/personal care
- Committed to ensuring resident’s rights
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to implement quality programming
- Ability to demonstrate reliability, flexibility and adaptability
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently; self -motivated
- Ability to commit to 4 week paid training
DSP Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Successful clearance of background check, physical, and drug screen
- Reliable and responsible attitude
- Show compassion and commitment to providing quality care to residents
- Able to lift 40 pounds, unassisted.
Pay Structure:
DSP with HS Diploma/GED
Base pay: $20.00
- Day Shift: $20.00/hour on weekdays: $2 more per hour on weekends Sat/Sun
- Evening Shift: $20.00/hour $3.00 more per hour on weekdays M-F $5.00 more per hour on weekends Sat/Sun
- Overnight Shift: $20.00/hour $1.50 more per hour on weekdays M-F $3.00 more per hour on weekends Sat/Sun
DSP with 4-year Degree
Base pay: $21.00
- Day Shift: $21.00/hour on weekdays: $2 more per hour on weekends Sat/Sun
- Evening Shift: $21.00/hour $3.00 more per hour on weekdays M-F $5.00 more per hour on weekends Sat/Sun
- Overnight Shift: $21.00/hour $1.50 more per hour on weekdays $3.00 more per hour on weekends Sat/Sun
