Dharma Bums is seeking an experienced Lead Cook to support the Chef and help lead the kitchen at a lively vegetarian restaurant and music venue in New Hope, Pennsylvania, located approximately 12 minutes north of New Hope town center.

About the Role
The Lead Cook assists the Chef with daily kitchen operations while maintaining strong food safety standards, organization, and consistency during service.
This role supports ordering, inventory management, and small-team leadership while working actively on the line in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Dharma Bums is a progressive vegetarian restaurant and bar located in a historic building near the Delaware River Canal in New Hope, Pennsylvania.
The restaurant features a lively cellar bar atmosphere, outdoor courtyard dining, and an upstairs event space hosting live music, yoga classes, and creative workshops.
Dharma Bums is located about 12 minutes north of New Hope town center, offering a quieter setting just outside the main downtown area.
The kitchen focuses on vegetarian cuisine with Asian-inspired flavors in a dynamic restaurant and bar environment.
Responsibilities
• Assist the Chef with daily kitchen operations
• Prepare vegetarian menu items with consistency and quality
• Support ordering, receiving, and inventory management
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
• Lead and support a small kitchen team (under five employees)
• Maintain organized prep stations during service
• Ensure cleanliness and kitchen organization
• Support a respectful and collaborative team culture
Qualifications
• 2 years of restaurant experience in a similar role
• Experience with vegetarian or vegan cuisine preferred
• Experience with ordering, receiving, and inventory management
• Food safety knowledge (certification preferred)
• Experience supervising or leading small kitchen teams
• Ability to stay calm and organized during busy service
