What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Runner/ Shop Assistant position at Mirra Construction?
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a box truck or other commercial vehicles for parts delivery
- Load and unload parts from the vehicle using proper lifting techniques
- Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including obtaining signatures and slips
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and report any maintenance needs
- Communicate with customers in a professional and friendly manner
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or parts runner preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks such as loading and unloading parts
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
