We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team at Unity Health and Rehabilitation Center. As a part-time Respiratory Therapist, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients, providing top-notch respiratory care and supporting their recovery and well-being.

About the Role:

• Provide respiratory therapy treatments to patients, including oxygen therapy, respirator care, and aerosol therapy
• Conduct pulmonary function tests and analyze results to assess patient progress
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement respiratory care plans
• Educate patients and families on respiratory therapy techniques and self-care
• Document patient information and treatment plans accurately and timely
  
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans
• Conduct routine assessments and evaluations to ensure patient safety and comfort
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient treatment and progress
• Demonstrate professionalism and a commitment to excellence in respiratory care
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy (RRT or CRTT)
• Current registration with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Current state licensure or certification in Respiratory Therapy (RRT or CRTT)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift, transfer, and position patients with minimal assistance
• Demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care and a passion for helping others
