Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Activities Aide to join our team at North Beach Rehabilitation Center in North Miami Beach, Florida. As a key member of our Activities Department, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing a variety of recreational, social, and therapeutic activities to enhance the overall well-being and quality of life for our residents.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead activities such as social events, games, arts and crafts, and exercise programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to create a monthly calendar of events that promote socialization, relaxation, and emotional well-being
• Assist in planning and executing themed events, parties, and outings that bring joy and excitement to our residents
• Participate in assessing resident needs and preferences to develop personalized activity plans
• Maintain accurate records of activity participation, including attendance, feedback, and suggestions
• Assist with facility upkeep, including cleaning and organizing activity areas
• Provide support to other departments as needed, including dietary, housekeeping, and nursing
  
  
  

Requirements:

• 6 months of experience (training provided)
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including seniors and individuals with disabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift 25-50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• CNA license preferred
