Our client is hiring a Full-Time Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher for.
This is a great opportunity for a motivated, student-centered APE professional to join a collaborative special education team supporting students with a wide range of physical, cognitive, and developmental needs.

Schedule
• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:45 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Full-Time, 1.0 FTE
Responsibilities
• Assess individual students and develop, adapt, and implement specialized physical education programs in the motor domain
• Develop Individual Educational Programs (IEPs) for students with varying functioning levels
• Develop long- and short-term learning goals and objectives aligned to the IEP
• Conduct daily classroom/gym activities reflecting IEP goals and objectives
• Utilize a variety of techniques, materials, and specialized equipment to execute appropriate curriculum
• Monitor student performance and progress, adjusting instruction as necessary
• Participate as part of a multidisciplinary team, including parent conferences as needed
• Plan and supervise the functions of teacher aides/assistants
Qualifications
• Professional Educator’s License (PEL) endorsed for Physical Education
• PEL in areas of exceptionality served by the program preferred
• Experience working with special needs students in group and/or classroom settings preferred
• Coursework in adaptive PE preferred
