Facilities Manager
Full-time
Salary: $80,000-90,000
Minnesota Masterpiece Hall seeks a Facilities Manager to provide oversight and maintenance for a newly constructed building consisting of a state-of-the art concert hall, art galleries, and support spaces. This person is responsible for the safety and maintenance of the facilities, grounds and parking lots, as well as security and emergency planning. All full-time staff will occasionally share duties and help out as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of facility operations, including engineering, security, custodial, parking management, and safety management
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive building management plan including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire systems, access control, and onsite water control
- Work with CEO and Schwab Construction Services with the commissioning of the building
- Support the needs of event production working closely with the Head of Production
- Manage facilities budget
- Ensure the facility is clean and maintained
- Ensure proper security operations in collaboration with CEO and security-system vendors
- Responsible for emergency response, planning and training
- Conduct and document regular facility inspections
- Maintain an inventory of all equipment and tools
- Develop and maintain municipality relationships including emergency responders
- Develop long-term preventive maintenance programs
- Develop and maintain vendor and contractor relationships
- Develop and maintain a pest management plan
- Develop and maintain a housekeeping plan
- Inspect all work completed by vendors and contractors
- Ensure that the facilities meet compliance standards and government regulations
- Work closely with all staff as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum five years of facilities management or equivalent experience
- Must be able to demonstrate the experience and education required to perform duties described
- Experience with critical system environments desired
- Strong time-management skills and ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities simultaneously
- Exceptional organizational abilities with impeccable attention to detail
- Financial management experience
- Ability to work well under pressure with a calm demeanor
- Ability to lead, cultivate, and steward positive team relations throughout the organization
- Ability to work independently, as well as within a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Literacy in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience successfully engaging with the public
- Exhibits empathy and respect for all individuals
- Highest degree of personal ethics, integrity, and ability to treat all information with appropriate levels off confidentiality
- A lifelong learner, who is inquisitive and solves problems with entrepreneurial and innovative thinking
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
Licenses and Certifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Work Environment
- Work will be performed in an office environment and other locations throughout the building
- Working weekends is required and some overnight travel may be necessary
