This position exists to contribute to the development of integrated transportation plans, studies, and investment programs; coordinating with and participating in state, regional and local planning efforts; and preparing and implementing a program of public involvement. This position carries out professional planning support and analysis in the preparation of statewide, district, modal, system, corridor, and project plans/studies and in the implementation and monitoring of investments in the transportation program.
This position is located in Rochester and may have the flexibility to telework, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy and discussion with their supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications

- Experience with public engagement.

- Experience preparing and delivering presentations to others.
Preferred Qualifications for both classifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in Communications, Planning, Geography, Urban Studies, Sociology, or Political Science.
- Experience in transportation planning.
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software.
- Experience with planning practices and procedures sufficient to analyze existing legislation/regulations and to develop recommended course of action.
