Your Mission

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality System Technician to join our Quality Department. This entry-level role supports the implementation and maintenance of our ISO 9001:2015 compliant Quality Management System (QMS). This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or grow their career in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and improving the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Perform inspections and testing of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet established specifications and pass/fail criteria.
  • Utilize measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product conformity.
  • Monitor and measure internal processes that impact product quality.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and analyze quality-related data.
  • Support internal audits, corrective actions, and complaint investigations.
  • Assist with calibration and verification of monitoring and measuring equipment.
  • Collaborate with employees, contractors, and customers to clarify product requirements.
  • Report QMS performance metrics and improvement opportunities to Quality Management.
  • Stay current on applicable quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry developments.
  • Promote and support workplace safety by ensuring adherence to safety policies and proper use of PPE.

Performance Expectations

  • Maintain compliance with all QMS policies and ISO requirements.
  • Complete required training within established timeframes.
  • Perform inspections and quality tasks accurately and on schedule.
  • Contribute to departmental goals related to accuracy, productivity, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Your Profile

What We’re Looking For

  • Basic understanding of quality systems and inspection processes (experience with ISO 9001:2015 preferred).
  • Familiarity with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to read and interpret written instructions, specifications, and numerical data.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures consistently.
  • Comfortable working independently and in a team environment.
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office; QMS software experience a plus).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout office, warehouse, and production areas.
  • Ability to lift up to 50–60 pounds unassisted on occasion.
  • Ability to operate a computer and standard office equipment.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license without significant restrictions.
  • Ability to travel as needed using various forms of transportation.

Work Environment

This position operates in both a professional office setting and an industrial manufacturing environment. The production floor may be noisy and requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toed footwear, eye protection, hearing protection, and other safety gear as required.
