Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Drug and Alcohol Supervisor to lead our behavioral health and addiction treatment programs. Duties
- Supervise clinical staff delivering individual and group counseling sessions focused on addiction counseling, behavioral therapy, and mental health support.
- Oversee intake assessments, patient evaluations, and diagnostic evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Implement evidence-based practices such as motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), and crisis intervention techniques to support clients’ recovery journeys.
- Manage clinical documentation including medical records, electronic health records (EHR), HIPAA-compliant data collection, and medical terminology accuracy.
- Coordinate case management efforts, working closely with families and community resources to ensure comprehensive support for clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Lead clinical team meetings, provide supervision and mentorship for staff with supervising experience, and ensure adherence to clinical standards and protocols.
- Conduct patient assessments related to substance use disorders, mental health conditions, neurodevelopmental disorders, PTSD care, and co-occurring disorders while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Facilitate crisis management and crisis intervention strategies during emergencies or behavioral incidents to maintain safety for clients and staff.
- Support research initiatives or clinical research projects aimed at improving addiction treatment outcomes or behavioral health interventions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with individuals with substance use disorders, mental health conditions, co-occurring disorders, neurodevelopmental disabilities, or developmental disabilities.
- Strong background in social work, behavioral health counseling, or related fields with clinical supervision experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical documentation standards, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), EMR/EHR systems management, and HIPAA compliance.
- Skilled in motivational interviewing techniques, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), psychotherapy, child & family counseling, and crisis management strategies.
- Experience working with children, pediatrics, families, or in hospital settings is highly desirable.
- Excellent client communication skills along with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations from various cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to perform patient care activities including intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, behavioral management plans, and case management services.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities in clinical team leadership or healthcare management roles.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to mental health and behavioral care; experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems is essential.
