Title: Project Manager-Refinery
Duration: 12 Month with Possible temp to perm
Location: Billings MT-Onsite role on W2
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multiple capital projects at a refinery facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oil & gas, refinery, or petrochemical projects and be responsible for managing projects from planning through construction and completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple capital projects from initiation through completion.
- Develop project scope, budgets, cost estimates, and construction schedules.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
- Manage EPC contractors, subcontractors, and project vendors.
- Work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure project success.
- Monitor project cost, schedule, quality, and safety performance.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Prepare and present project progress reports to management.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 10 years of experience in oil & gas, refinery, or petrochemical projects.
- 5 years of experience as a Project Manager with full responsibility for project execution.
- Experience managing engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and contractor management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to obtain a TWIC Card.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with refinery capital projects.
- Strong project controls and cost management experience.
- Contract negotiation experience.
- Field construction experience.
- Experience working with engineering consulting or EPC firms.
