About the Roles:
We are seeking two Color Designers – Footwear & Apparel Color Design to drive seasonal color direction across basketball footwear and apparel collections. This individual contributor role partners closely with Design, Product Management, and Development teams to create compelling, trend-driven color stories that resonate with target consumers.
This role requires a versatile creative leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, communicates design intent clearly, and brings strong expertise in color theory, textiles, and apparel and footwear applications.
Who You’ll Work With:
You will report to the Color Design Senior Manager and collaborate cross-functionally with:
- Footwear and Apparel Design teams
- Product Management partners
- Development teams
- Internal and external creative stakeholders
What You’ll Do:
- Lead seasonal color design direction for basketball footwear and apparel collections across Men’s and Women’s product lines
- Develop compelling color narratives and storytelling aligned to seasonal themes and consumer insights
- Create original color concepts for signature, branded, and licensed products
- Translate trend research and consumer insights into visual narratives and color strategies
- Partner with Product Management to align design direction with product and market goals
- Collaborate with Development teams to communicate design intent and support prototype reviews
- Create schematics, color applications, and presentation materials
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously across seasonal timelines
- Present design concepts clearly to internal teams, leadership, and external partners
- Stay current on emerging sportswear, streetwear, and basketball design trends
What We’re Looking For:
- 6 years of professional experience in color design for footwear and/or apparel
- Strong knowledge of sportswear, basketball, and streetwear design trends
- Proven experience developing seasonal color direction
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple timelines and projects
- Experience translating consumer insights into design storytelling
- Strong presentation and communication skills
Technical Skills:
- Adobe Illustrator

Additional Knowledge
- Strong understanding of color theory and textiles
- Foundational knowledge of apparel construction
- Experience with schematic development and tech pack creation
- Ability to develop presentation-ready design materials
