This Color Designer position supports the NSW Womens Apparel Color Design team. The role involves collaborating cross-functionally with Apparel Design, Graphics, Product Management, and Merchandising to build cohesive seasonal color directions. Key responsibilities include creating original color palettes, narrating seasonal color refreshes on existing products, and reviewing samples to troubleshoot color execution challenges from concept to manufacturing.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Apparel Design, Graphics, Print, Product Management, Merchandising, and Development to build cohesive seasonal color direction.
- Create original color palettes, narrative, and seasonal color refresh on existing products with supervision from design leadership.
- Review samples, troubleshoot color execution challenges, and drive accuracy from concept to manufacturing
- Conduct in‑depth research across sport, fashion, art, and culture to inform color decisions.
- Support cross-functional designers with color expertise outside your assigned load when needed.
- Participate in the communication and presentation of compelling seasonal color proposals to internal and external audience.
- Experience required; 1-3 years of experience in color design or apparel design.
- High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Keynote.
- Passion for trend and color research, with the ability to gather cultural and market insights and interpret consumer behavior.
- Clear and compelling communicator, both verbally and visually, in cross-functional settings.
- Strong ability to apply seasonal expressions to existing footwear silhouettes through trend-right use of color and materials; able to communicate design intent through both mood boards and CADs.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Expertise in color technology, materials, dyes, finishes, and color achievability.
