Duties
- Serve meals and beverages to residents, guests, and visitors in a courteous and timely manner
- Assist with food preparation, plating, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, kitchens, and food handling stations in accordance with health regulations
- Support the dietary department by helping with meal setup, bussing tables, and cleaning after service
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and serving procedures are followed to uphold food safety standards
- Manage time effectively during busy service periods to deliver prompt and attentive customer service
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal delivery and accommodate special dietary needs or requests
Requirements
- Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food production, preparation, serving techniques, and sanitation practices
- Familiarity with dietary department operations and food safety regulations
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during service hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Experience in food handling, cooking, cleaning, bussing tables, or kitchen support roles is advantageous
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
