•Type: Part-time for the 2026-2027 school year (while school is in session, end of August - mid June) •Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:00-6:00 PM (11:30 AM-6:00 PM on 2 early dismissal days) Key Responsibilities Program Operations and Leadership •Set up and close the program each day, ensuring all materials are organized and spaces are prepared for the following day. •Take direction from the Supervisor and demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration with all staff members. •Anticipate Supervisor needs and proactively develop contingency plans to problem-solve and respond effectively to changing situations. •Communicate daily program happenings, concerns, and updates to the Supervisor in a timely manner. •Cover for the Supervisor in their absence, assuming responsibility for daily operations to ensure the program runs smoothly and safely. •Know when to escalate concerns to the MCS Office for guidance and when conversations should be referred to the Supervisor. Staff Supervision and Development •Assist in the supervision, coaching, and support of all program staff, including front-line staff, the Nurse, Inclusion Aides, Kindergarten Coordinator, and Attendance Monitor, ensuring consistent implementation of program policies, procedures, and expectations. •Create daily staff assignments, including room assignments, radio assignments, and supervision coverage to maintain appropriate ratios and ensure participant safety. •Conduct difficult conversations with parents, staff, and participants when necessary while keeping the Supervisor informed and involved. •Observe, mentor, and coach Counselors in Training (CITs) through regular check-ins, performance evaluations, and ongoing feedback to support professional growth and leadership development. •Address performance concerns, implement development plans, and coordinate with the CIT Coordinator to monitor community service hours and program compliance, escalating concerns when appropriate. •Ensure CIT staff develop and deliver quality, age-appropriate curriculum and clubs aligned with program goals, learning objectives, and student engagement best practices. •Collect and review CIT lesson plans, provide coaching and support, and maintain documentation of curricula and clubs offered throughout the year. Participant Supervision and Support •Promote participant success through proactive supervision, relationship-building, clear expectations, and an inclusive and respectful environment where students and families feel supported. •Greet and identify all participants and families at arrival, creating welcoming connections. •Assist in tracking student locations throughout the program, including transitions between homework, indoor, and outdoor activities. •Take attendance in the Supervisor's absence and follow established procedures for any unaccounted-for participants. •Respond to challenging behavior using trauma-informed, strengths-based, restorative, and de-escalation practices while consistently reinforcing program expectations and procedures. •Oversee the program-wide incentive system in collaboration with the Site Supervisor to ensure consistent implementation that reinforces positive behavior, core values, and PBIS expectations. •Monitor participation and outcomes related to the incentive system and recommend adjustments to improve effectiveness and student engagement. Family and Community Engagement •Build and maintain positive relationships with program families and school staff to foster communication, collaboration, and trust. •Demonstrate a friendly, positive, and approachable demeanor with participants, families, staff, and school personnel. •Plan and lead at least 2 family engagement events throughout the year, including developing themes, activities, logistics, and documenting participation. •Explain program policies, procedures, and required forms to parents and guardians as needed. Safety, Documentation, and Compliance •Maintain a professional attitude and strict confidentiality regarding all student, family, and staff information. •Document incidents and injuries in accordance with program procedures and communicate information to parents/guardians as necessary. •Ensure compliance with all program policies, licensing regulations, and safety procedures. •Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor and Director.
