We are looking for a construction-minded leader who understands how jobs are built, how materials must be staged, and how critical organized logistics are to a successful install.This is not a warehouse desk position. This is a hands-on leadership role inside a working construction shop environment.Position OverviewThe Millwork Construction Logistics Lead is responsible for overseeing all outbound job staging, yard coordination, and shipping operations related to active construction projects.You will serve as the final checkpoint before materials leave our facility. This includes verifying job completeness, reviewing installation sequencing, coordinating loads, and ensuring all materials are protected and ready for the field.This role is ideal for a former lead installer, finish carpenter, or construction foreman who wants to transition into a shop-based leadership role while staying closely connected to the build process.Core Responsibilities• Lead daily job staging and outbound shipment coordination• Review plans and job breakdowns to confirm all millwork components are complete and install-ready• Stage materials according to installation sequence and project schedule• Ensure proper protection and packaging for transport to active construction sites• Perform secondary quality control checks for accuracy, damage, and completeness• Communicate with project managers and field leads regarding job readiness and special site requirements• Receive vendor deliveries, verify purchase orders, document materials, and report discrepancies• Maintain an organized construction yard with clear job separation and labeling• Coordinate truck loading for efficient and safe deliveries• Assist with deliveries or site transfers when needed• Maintain safety standards consistent with commercial construction environmentsRequired Qualifications• Experience working on active commercial construction sites• Strong understanding of construction tools, materials, and job sequencing• Ability to read and interpret blueprints• Experience coordinating materials for job site delivery• Leadership or crew lead experience in a construction setting• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record• Physically capable of lifting and handling construction materialsPreferred Experience• Background in architectural millwork or finish carpentry• Former lead installer or foreman experience• Experience staging materials for tenant improvement or retail build-outs• Experience managing yard operations or shop logisticsWho Will Thrive in This RoleThe right candidate:• Thinks ahead and anticipates what field crews need• Understands that poor staging creates delays and lost production time• Takes ownership of job accuracy and completeness• Is comfortable leading while remaining hands-on• Values organization, accountability, and construction efficiencyWhy This Role Is CriticalProper construction logistics directly impact install efficiency, project timelines, and client satisfaction.
